Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle - MOTOR GERR

Dispatches from the Land of Joy #1. The land of what? Land of Joy… It might sound like a North Korean diktat but it’s Ducati advertising talk for Scrambler ownership and usually the type of mumbo-jumbo that could have maximum right-questioning people recoiling in horror. But stay with me, because in the case of my Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle, I think it’s justified.

Fact is, it’s very hard to experience the Scrambler without it setting a smile in your face. Just searching at it seems to make humans satisfied – after the once a year MCN rideout from Butlins to Cadwell Park folk were clamouring to have a sit at the Ducati and attempt it for size. Then as the queue for the parade lap started out rolling, a Panigale proprietor paused to permit me in front with an admiring observe the 803cc beauty.

Riding the Scrambler’s a joy, too. My every day travel takes in windy united states of america backroads in which the extensive bars and easy torque make for swooping leisure. There’s nothing threatening, just right vibes.

One aspect although, the Full Throttle doesn’t half of get itself mucky when the climate turns. A unmarried 17-mile ride domestic in tipping rain after MCN’s middle of the night press slot at the latest bank excursion left the motorbike looking like I’d performed a few real Scrambling. Time to get cleansing.
