Here are his first impressions: “At first glance the new Continental is a real step up for Enfield. It’s obviously a retro fashion motorbike mimicking the traditional Continentals of the ‘60s and in terms of detailing and touches they’ve performed a surely correct task.
“It’s got a pukka Monza fashion fuel cap, funky bar give up mirrors, twine wheels, respectable Brembo the front brakes, swoopy single seat, chrome head lamp, in fact all of the things you’d assume.
“To trip it’s boosted a little by way of a slightly larger 535 version of its air cooled single which gives it a little greater pep than Enfields up till now. And it’s light and sweet dealing with.
“I haven’t had a threat to wind it up at the open roads but, however for what it is the signs and symptoms are to date quite desirable.
