Ducati 899 Panigale first impressions - MOTOR GERR

Ducati's new 'baby Panigale', the 899, is currently being put through its paces for the first time at a very wet Imola in Italy by MCN Senior Road Tester, Adam Child. Here are his first impressions:

"Ducati says the new 899 has superbike performance but is ready for the street, in other words it's fast but not intimidating and so far, in these rainy conditions, it is living up to that.

"The ergonomics are more rider friendly and with traction control and ABS, plus rider modes as standard, the new Panigale is making light work of the very tricky conditions.

"At the moment we are running full Pirelli wets around the historic track on a modified sport setting. This is highlighting how good the traction control and ABS are. More later."
